A fusion of traditional Chinese tea ceremony and multimedia projections
This is one of a kind performance originally conceived by the Cinevolution Media Arts Society. In the show, we travel the world of tea through history by combining astonishing visual projection, music, and Chinese tea ceremony. This interdisciplinary performance will bring you a cup of tea one has never tasted before.

Creators
Sophi Liang (performer, tea master)

Originally from Beijing and based in Vancouver, Sophic Liang is an Asian tea master and specialist. She has experience in Asian tea ceremony and industry for over 10 years, including 5 years of operating Moonstruck Tea House at the Coal Harbour area in Vancouver. Now she is giving lecture and workshops on Asian tea in Metro Vancouver area, at places such as the Chinese Cultural Centre in Vancouver and Sun Yat-Sen Garden.
Sebnem Ozpeta (visual artist)

Sebnem is a Vancouver based independent filmmaker / editor. She studied Graphic Design in Turkey, where she was born and raised. She also completed the Digital Film Program at the AI in Vancouver. She has been producing short experimental films and working as an editor/camera operator and collaborating with artists, performances, storytellers, dancers and filmmakers for more than 6 years.
Olivier Martin (sound designer)

Sound isn’t a free ornamentation, it’s an invisible source of emotion, another way to tell stories, it brings the spectator/auditor into a sentimental journey. Coming from Lyon (France) recently settled in Vancouver, Olivier has worked with many advertising companies and radios (France) for multimedia and communication purpose. Through his artistic work, he collaborated with several artists and artistic groups such as: Erik Barray (France), Luc Schuiten (Belgium) and Atelier le Bocal (France) for artistic installations, exhibits and live performances.
