W2 Summer Nights in association with Cinevolution Media Arts Society and the City of Richmond present: Your Kontinent Festival Teaser and Afterparty, a film, media art, and music showcase featuring Asian and First Nation artists.
As a preview to the Festival, W2 will be screening Among B-Boys (Christoper Woon) and City Monkey (Patrick Kong) at the W2 Media Cafe in the Woodward’s Atrium.
Music performances by Shing02 with Marcus D [NY/Seattle], Bill Maka of Okay City [Vancouver], OS12 of Beat Nation Live [Vancouver], JB the First Lady [Vancouver], and a Media Art installation entitled 3/11 Tsunami Photo Project by Yoshiaki Koga, with music by Ryuichi Sakamoto.
W2 Community Media Arts Society and Cinevolution Media Arts Society would like to thank the City of Richmond, the Consulate-General of Japan in Vancouver, the Japan-Canada Chamber of Commerce, the Department of Canadian Heritage, and the British Columbia Arts Council.
